 Hey there, I’m Tobi Abawonse. I’m a creative entrepreneur at heart : Clothing designer, photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller with a love for architecture, design, and the people who inhabit and bring spaces to life.

Most of what I do revolves around capturing the beauty of places, designing pieces and moments, whether through architectural films, photography, or clothing designs that celebrate culture, history, and creativity.

I have a degree in Information Technology from DePaul University, but creative journey began much earlier with stillness, solitude, and observation. As a child growing up in Nigeria, I would take moments to study the beauty around me. That same curiosity followed me years later as I drove along Chicago’s lake shore and through cities across the country—Chicago, Highland Park, Detroit, St. Louis, Dallas, and beyond—observing architecture  & people with a sense of wonder.

One of my most ambitious and successful projects came years later, when I spent nine months filming and photographing 180 different architectural designs across the U.S., an experience that deepened my craft and shaped my perspective as both an artist and storyteller.

When I’m not behind the camera or designing new clothes, I’m usually dreaming up new ideas, working with other creatives, or exploring new restaurants in the Chicago (My favorite currently is ABA in the west loop).
